The Gripping Clamp’s function is dictated by the type of Jaw Set that is inserted into the Clamp. The Gripping Clamp can hold the conduit in place allowing no lateral movement or the gripping clamp can be used as a “halo” and the conduit can move laterally.

All of the Jaw Sets rotate radially 360° inside the Gripping Clamp.

Combi Middle Jaws

Combi Middle Jaws have four ridges that lock into the corrugations of the conduit and prevent the conduit from moving laterally through the Gripping Clamp assembly. The Combi Middle Jaws are wider than the Middle Jaw and are used to “splice” two lengths of conduit together or to attach Cabletar grommets to the conduit at termination points. The conduit and the Cablestar would each occupy 50% of the Combi Middle Jaw with two ridges of the Combi Jaw locking into two grooves of the conduit and the remaining two ridges locking into two grooves in the Cablestar grommet.

* All of the REIKU Jaw sets (except Comb Jaws) rotate in an orbital/radial direction inside the Gripping Clamp in order to prevent/ remove torsion load.

Sliding Jaws

Sliding Jaws do not have any ridges to lock into the corrugations so the conduit is able to move through the Gripping Clamp in a lateral direction.

With Sliding Jaws installed the Gripping Clamp operates like a halo to guide the conduit. Larger diameter assemblies can be used with smaller diameter conduit to create a tapered guidance system similar to the different size eyelets on a fishing rod.

* All of the REIKU Jaw sets (except Comb Jaws) rotate in an orbital/radial direction inside the Gripping Clamp in order to prevent/ remove torsion load.

Middle Jaws

Middle Jaws have two ridges that lock into the corrugations of the conduit and prevent the conduit from moving laterally through the Gripping Clamp assembly. The Middle Jaw is only used in assemblies where the conduit will pass through the Gripping Clamp on either side. The Middle Jaw is narrow and does not protrude past the outside of the Gripping Clamp and this allows the conduit to make sharp bends/transitions immediately after passing through the Clamp Assembly.

* All of the REIKU Jaw sets (except Comb Jaws) rotate in an orbital/radial direction inside the Gripping Clamp in order to prevent/ remove torsion load.

Ball Joint Jaws

Ball Joint Jaws have a recessed elliptical channel that is designed to accept the radius profile for a Conduit Protectors. Once the Protector is seated inside the Ball Joint Jaw the conduit now has plus or minus 15° of mobility inside the Gripping Clamp Assembly.

* All of the REIKU Jaw sets (except Comb Jaws) rotate in an orbital/radial direction inside the Gripping Clamp in order to prevent/ remove torsion load.

Comb Jaws

Comb Jaws are available for 70mm conduit size only. The Comb Jaw set is used at the termination point when a custom Cablestar grommet is not being used. The Comb Jaw has “teeth” that enable the use of a wire/cable tie to secure the cables or hoses against lateral movement once they exit the conduit. The Comb Jaw is the only Jaw Set that does not move radially inside the Gripping Clamp as instead held against any orbital rotation so that the cable ties do not put pressure or cut into the cables or hoses

End Jaws

End Jaws are available for 70mm conduit size only. The End Jaw set is used at the termination point when a custom Cablestar grommet is not being used. The End Jaw set is profiled on one side with a smooth radius edge that is designed to provide a nice surface for the cables and hoses to rub against after they exit the conduit.
